I have a 46G freshwater planted aquarium with tropical fish i.e neon tetras, plattys, mollies, angels. Can I add one male Betta to this mix? I know male bettas together are a no-no. I am new to this hobby and want to ensure I do everything right! Thanks.

Hi there,

It all depends on the betta. You can try it, but he may become aggressive and attack the fish or be passive and the fish will attack him.

Just remember to have a back-up plan in case it doesn't work :)

it really depends on the Betta. I had one that hated sharing his tank with even snails! And another who is so laid back she shares her tank with a dwarf gourami (normally a no no).
