This one is sad...

The petco guy telling me "You're 3 goldfish will get over ich naturally. No need to treat them, just keep feeding them."
And believing him.

Well, if you jack the temp up I think they can get over it naturally...but then again I don't know how high of temps goldfish can tolerate.

The worst thing I've ever done is using a guppy to cycle my first 10gal (thats what petsmart told me to do ). Other than that I don't think I've done anything too noobish...

#1 Believing the guy at Petco whe he said PWCs would stall my cycle (I was cycling with fish). He said not to do any PWC at all and add ammo-lock. Several trips to petco to keep asking the guy, 1 month later and 1 dead barb later (RIP) I found this site and learnt how naive I was!

#2 Listening to the same Petco guy when he sold me red tail tinfoil barbs for my 20gal (I now have a 75gal for them)

I'm sure there will be more....... but hopefully none as bad as that again!!!!
