I just recently purchased my first marine tank. Its a 30 gal and I have 4 fish in it so far. 2 clown fish and 2 damsels. My Ph and nitrite levels are staying fine but my ammonia is at .50 ppm and my nitrate is at 160 ppm. I have 2 penguin 200 filters with biowheel. My question is that I keep reading about the bigoted. I wonder if my filtration system is adequate . I also have live sand in my aquarium. I just need a better understanding of the biofilter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Your aquarium is cycling and your going to need to do water changes till your system can catch up with the ammount of waste and fish are in the tank. You need to do severala 50% water change and re test in a couple hours. If ammonia or nitrite are showing or if nitrate are showing above 20 then do it again.
