Hello --
I recently ordered Bolbitis heudelotii (African water fern) that was delayed in transit. It arrived 12 days after it was shipped and was in very bad shape by the time I got it. I placed it in one of my tanks immediately, but all of the leaves appear to have wilted and died. My question is whether to leave the rhizomes in the tank. Will they recover? They're not inexpensive plants; I'm hesitant to try and order them again, especially with our current summer heat. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Leave them and forget them for awhile. Meaning, don't worry, it may take some time to recover and put out new growth. Some plants need to lose everything, down to the base, then gather their energy under there and prepare for a fresh start. Some take longer than others, so don't despair (yet:ermm:)

Thanks, ADsnail
