As long as the tank is large enough for the shark to establish it's territory and you don't have an overly aggressive shark, they should be fine. Rams are quite good at standing up for themselves against larger fish. My german blue rams used to team up to drive away my red tailed black shark in my 75 gallon tank even when they were juvies going up against the full grown shark
