You don't have an issue with your Pleco eating your banana plant? Every time I'd buy them, the root bulbs would be gone within a week!

Not at all. It will dig in the sand just about everywhere else in the tank but (knock on wood), it leaves the plants alone. I do keep it well fed though.

The banana plants are the one flourishing the most in my tank

I have never heard of a variegated African shark, but it sure is lovely!

Comes up as rare when I saw it and started researching it. Also known as Harlequin Shark.

Main difference is the RedTail and Rainbow Shark are Asian and this one is African. This guy is supposedly more aggressive than the RT. But enjoying his colors currently before they fade as 'he' gets older.
