Brand new to the hobby

Hello all!

I'm fairly new to the hobby. I just started up a month or so ago, and I've got one 15gal fully cycled with two cories in it while my 20gal is cycling. I'm planning on making both of the tanks betta tanks.

I've read for long enough on here so I figured I might as well start posting (plus I need the advice haha).



P.S here is a picture of my planted 20gal when I first set it up;




I definitely need help with it because it's been a week and I'm having trouble with the plants, but I'll save that for a different thread in the planted tank section.

Thanks! Yeah I put some root tabs in a few days ago

Mabye try dosing flourish twice a week or so if tha dosen't help

welcome to the forum!! is that a deluxe 20 gallon LED kit? if so you've got plants that need a much stronger light

It's whatever came in the kit, so I'm assuming the lights aren't enough. I just posted in the freshwater planted tank section with more pictures too.
