I recently came across BRS tv video on clownfish harem tank. I read that fish from the same clutch are easiest to successfully pull off this look in a tank. But was wondering how difficult it is to breed clownfish, raise the young, and reintroduce them to the main tank.
I would ideally like to know how many could put into my 220g tank.
How many fry the average clownfish has.
Any type of info would be appreciated!

You can get hundreds of fry from one laying of adult clowns. Your tank is big enough to have a harem. The numbers in a successful harem is beyond my ability to compute. Too many variables.

The challenge is feeding the fry. But there is excellent information out there as clowns are among those that have successfully been commercially raised.

Diatoms, live planktonic matter, and eventually freshly hatched baby brine shrimp will be good foods for young clownfish. I'm not sure but I think they might eat copepods?
