bright green worm like thing on live rock

i have live rock i took out of one tank and started a new tank with it, and now i just saw a bright green worm like thing growing on the live rock. it was not in the tank before, it just came about in the last few days. i also saw the same thing at a fish store a few days ago before i saw mine and didnt ask what it was. does anyone know????????

I've had some go away for months before showing back up. I imagine yours has just been dormant waiting for the right time to come out. They aren't bad and can be removed pretty easily if you don't want it in there. It's just like any other macro in that it will eat up excess nutrients.

yeah i just read they use ca. the tank the were in had alot of ca and alot of light now med ca and lower light
