I have had my saltwater established now for about a year and I have a brown algea problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of it. I use ro water and it is a fish only tank. :?

Is it a diatom bloom ( powdery brown algae)? Snails will eat it if it is.

Welcom to AA !

Most brown algaes are caused by silicates. It may be time to change your water filter. Do you use ro/di. I believe the DI stage is what will reduce the silicates.
