Can a fish live with 1 eye.

Hey guys. Just got back from the Lfs and found a fish with 1 eye he's a German red. Beautiful colors. He had 1 eye. Swam fine. They gave me a 50% discount. Anything I should be worried about

nice markings on the tail and fins. Bet he will color up nicely in a day or 2.

I bought a bunch of neons more than a year ago and found that one of them had gotten his eye smashed up, probably when they were putting him in the bag. It got swollen but he is fine. He gets confused sometimes though and swims in circles. I've had him for a long time and no health problems at all. So in my experience yes it should be fine but I suppose there are a lot of factors that could affect it.
