Can anyone guide me through this????

When I got home from work last night I noticed that my betta has pop eye.
I know it needs to be treated but with what? and how ????
The info on the Internet is confusing . Do I need to move him from his five gallon tank to let the meds work? I will be doing a 50% wc. Can somebody please guide me through this? I've grown really attach to this little guy and I don't want to lose him.

I would start with daily 50% water changes with the addition of Epsom salts dosed at 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons to help draw out the pressure. Then replace the Epsom salt for what you removed during the water change. Do this daily for 7-10 days and all should be right as rain.
