Can I have snails?

I have a 65g with 2 clown loaches, 3 striatia botias, 2 severums, 1 uaru, 1 angel, and a few gourami. Is it possible to have snails in this tank. If so what kind and how many. I just want them lot keep the glass clean.

IMO no, your loaches will just eventually find them and make a snack out of them.

If it's just the glass, you could use a Mag-Float that you can just scrape the algae off with.

I just figured if I could do it with snails I'd rather. Just another element to the tank. I know there is the snails the close themselves in but I dont have any exp. with snails.
