After weeks of hasseling my lfs for a Midas Blenny, they finally got in a couple of canary blennies. Not what I originally researched and wanted but after observing for about an hour, I realized they were just as cool in appearance and personality without the colorchanging ability. Anyway after a 2 week qt, I added him to the tank and man is he cool. I never really paid any mind to blennies after +15 years in the hobby. Looking for a new smaller addition, I came accross an article on Blennies. My wife calls him a muppet. They perch and swim with a lot of character and seem to have a higher intelligence about them. I highly recommend this species as being very hardy and a good eater. He is not very aggressive or going to outgrow the 75gal he is housed in. He is a midwater fish that swims and perches. Anyone know the life expectancy on these little guys. I found contradicting info on this one.
Heard 2-3 years, 4-5 years, up to 10 years???
