So I am going to get a 10 gallon set up soon to take to college with me next year but cannot decide whether to get the aquaclear 20 or 50? Is the 50 too much current even with it turned down? My planned stock is:

1 Betta
6 CPDs
4 Pigmy Cory's

Just wasn't sure about the whole flow thing.

Thanks

I'd do the 20. If the flow is too much on the 20 too you can get a piece of filter padding and place it over the outflow, so the water flows through the filter pad and baffles the water a bit. I do this on my betta tank (different filter though) and it works well.

I agree that the AC 20 should be sufficient. I have one for my 10g hospital tank and it seems to do a good job.
