Cardinal too far gone?

Should I euthanize? It's been in qt for 5 days. I treated with API general cure, but apparently that's the wrong med. I'm dosing Para Guard starting today, but it may be too late. I noticed him loosing color in his tail a few weeks ago, then a week ago noticed it was gone. A few other cardinals were picking at it. Other fish are fine, so probably no serious disease.

Where are you getting your information on which meds to use? Those are terribly wrong choices for what I can see.

Yeah, I mentioned that in my post. Para guard is sort of similar so it wasn't helping either. Fish died that evening.
