Can anyone tell me how to breed cherry barbs? I have 2 females and a male. Both females were fat and now Im pretty sure one has laid eggs somewhere in the tank because she is alot thinner now. How long do the eggs have to sit before they hatch?

Thanks
Marv

cherry barbs are notorious egg eaters, so they may have eaten them. they are also scatter their eggs around so you prob wont find a bunch of them in one spot. they hatch in a couple days

This is what I do, you might consider this. I had a few zebas that would fly through some of my stem plants and deposit eggs. I vacuumed under the stem plants and looked inside of the bucket that the water went into. You can only do a little at a time. I found eggs and fry this way. If you have any plants, they probably spawned around them. As timwag2001 said, they eat eggs like crazy, but if any fell into the substrate, they may have survived.
