Just found out I have one of these guys (rather than an Oto).

Has anybody kept a CAE successfully with other fish? What are suitable tank mates for a CAE?

He's too aggressive to the mollies and guppies in our community tank and I want to give him a new home. What tank size is recommended?

I got a CAE on the advice of a fish shop when I was just starting out. They're generally ok for a while when they are smaller, but as they get larger they get a lot more aggressive and IMO don't do well with community fish.

My advice would be to find him a new home, personally. Even in a larger tank, you're going to be fairly limited on what you can stock with him. If you're set on keeping him, look into a tank in the 55-75 gallon range, and stock him with something like firemouths, blue acara, etc..... something that can hold its own and gets decent size, but not off the charts in aggression.
