Chipped tank -.-

It's on the outside back corner on a single pane. It's a chunk that being held by silicon but the seam is unaffected. Can I just lather a bunch of silicon over the crack?

I was thinking of even siliconing 2 pieces of glass on both sides with more than enough silicon. It's towards the back corner of the tank and I'm not worried about looks as it's only a frag tank.
