Cichlid ID help

Hi, I have just bought this cichlid but cannot identify what it is need a little help please, the guy who had it was not feeding it well and had kept it in cold water hence i believe the colors were lost.

My first thought was a jewel cichlid, but the mouth doesnt look right...

No its definitely not a jewel cichlid, and its not an impulse buy either, it has similarities to a red terror or a mayan cichlid but i guess ill have to wait untill it regains its color and stripes get stronger.

...I didnt say it was an impulse buy? Thats just my siggy. It appears with all my posts.

IMO, it doesnt look like either a red terror or a mayan. My next guess was going to be some sort of Hap. It could be a mixed breed, too.

hmmm just found out, its a tilapia snyderae.
