I had this post in the cichlid section, but i figured I would bring it here since there isn't much activity over there....

I can't tell if this Aulonocara Jacobfreibergi (Eureka Red) is a male or female..if the pictures aren't clear enough, it does have a reddish hue on its anal fin and a band of some sort of color going across its dorsal fin as well as white streaks on the front part of the pectoral fins. Is he just really low on the dominance chain or is he really a she?

Why do you say it is? Just so I know

I'm not sure how big your fish is, but the color isn't bright at all if there is any color. Females are the dull colored ones. Also the dorsal fin is rounded off instead of long and pointed like males. Plus I don't see any egg spots on the anal fin

She is about 3 inches right now. I believe you guys are right. I'm going to get to remove her from my tank ASAP to prevent her from starting any problems between the males

Sorry I never knew how to tell them apart
So the spots on fin on bottom.
I think I have tank full of males
Thankfully no aggressive behavior yet
