So I inherited a full grown jewel cichlid and a HUGE jack dempsy with my 95 gallon craigslist purchase. I intended for the 95 to be an upgrade for my angels, and to use their 40 gallon as a qt or space for a mating pair. I may have found a home for the jewel cichlid, but not yet for the jd. Problem now... my husband is really starting to dig the jd. Could mean so much for the angel upgrade.
IF that is the case, can we introduce a mature oscar to the tank after the jewel is gone? Or is not good to introduce new fish to a tank with an already mature male jd regardless of the size?
He is magnificent, but I so don't want to give up my angel upgrade for just one fish!
