Cleaning a heavily planted tank

Hi guys, how would you go about cleaning substrate in a heavily planted tank.

You don't as you don't want to risk injuring plant roots.

O ok, so the corys I am planning to get and the trumpet snails I have will clean the tank

They will help just be sure not to overfeed and when you do your weekly WC wave your hand back and forth to make detris rise into the water column so you can suck it up.
