You don't need snails, crabs and shrimp. You don't have to keep any of those creatures for any other reason besides you like to look at them. You will clean the glass yourself with a mag float and/or scraper, correct?
that, and power heads positioned optimally to limit uneaten fish food and poop from settling and you are good to go.

remember, whatever you put in the tank must have food to sustain it.

I have a built in filter that has one power head to put the water back into the tank, do you think a tank that size needs another power head? Sometimes I notice that in the back 3 chambers the water gets a thin film on the surface of the water like there ain't enough movement.

To clean up lol, what you said makes sense. They will just increase my bio-load.

I had a very little bit of grass looking algae on the back of my tank.

This answered my question for a CUC in my 20 nano...my biggest problem is patches of diatoms on my glass that pop up once a month or so. I was going to toss in a few snails, but I'll just wipe the glass down.
