Hi All,
I've had this 200L fish only hardscape aquarium for about 3 months now...fish are really healthy, water parameters are good (no Nitrates detectable), very little signs of algae and generally it looks pretty good.
However, the water is not as crystal clear as I would like it...it seems ever so slightly hazy if I can call it that. Difficult to show this on photos.
I'm doing at least a 30% water change weekly and I'm using an OASE Biomaster 250 as filtration (with prefilter cleaned weekly). Filter configuration is as follows:
Prefilter - 30 ppi foam
Basket1 - 20 ppi Filter foam
Basket2 - Oase Hel-X Media
Basket3 - Seachem Matrix
Basket4 - 30 ppi Filter Foam
- Seachem Purigen
Is there anything obvious here that I'm doing wrong or that I can change to get my water clearer? For example I've been wondering if I should replace the foam in Basket1 with some kind of filter floss.
I would really appreciate any input.
Thank you
Chris
