Hey All,

24 hours ago I added 5 clown barbs and 4 clown loaches to my tank. I expected the loaches to hide, however the barbs seem to be schooling with the loaches and hiding as well.

Is this typical? I thought barbs tended to be bold?

24 hours is not near long enough for any species to really show their true attitudes.

Thanks, I wondered if this was the case, but I had never seen a mid level fish be shy this long. Any idea when should I expect to see that behavior shift?

I’m sticking to the whole 24 hours isn’t long enough for any species to show their true characteristics theory.

Fish can be shy for days even. Its completely normal. Let them settle in.
