I recently adopted a clown loach that looks like its color has faded. I have one that has normal coloring. Will this change over time. Is it from stress?

How long have you had it? It could easily be stress. Give it a few days to adapt to its new home.

Its been only 3 days. They both seem to like each other. Playing chase alot. Looking closer at its fins, they seem to be getter darker in color. I would try to take a picture but my camera sucks and they are just too fast lol.

Was it early in the morning? Fish's color naturally fades overnight as well and will look light in the mornings, or after you turn the lights on.

Nope, it was that way when I got him. The lights do mess with my tetras though.

Clown loaches are especially sensative to stress in terms of losing color. My loach has extremely bright colors, I think its also partial to the color enhancing foods you feed it. I would give him a little time to adapt, get some good food in him and the colors will come right back.
