Two questions:
1)do they act as clearner shrimps
2)when the molt what should you do with the shell.

From what I've read, they do perform some cleaning functions in the wild but almost never in the aquarium. I have a mated pair and I have yet to see them clean any of my fish.

Mine molt pretty frequently and I generally just leave the molted shell in the tank. It's gone in a day anyway so i assume someone is eating it.
 
Don't plan on adding any other shrimp if you have CBS. I had a mated pair I had to move to a separate tank. They killed any peppermint or other shrimp I put in the tank. Now I have 2 skunk cleaners and a group of 5 peppermints in the main tank.
