i brought a common pleco or sailfin pleco about 3 months ago but when i got home realized that he had light patches of skin he seems to be doing fine and all the other fish are ok but my rtbs has a grey patch on his side just wondering if this is some kind of disease or parasite he has caught from the pleco?

IMO it's normal. When I had my Pleco he would have light spots like that and then they would just disappear. Just make a note of the light spots and you'll probably see them move and change spots.

I read that they can lighten up depending on mood and even the surface they are on. Mine seems much darker as it first comes out of the shadows, and most of the time lightens up on the gravel once he's out in the open.

From exp and a little bit of searching I've learnt that this is normal, the patches come and go your pleco isn't ill :)
