My convicts are on their 3rd batch of fry and were attacking all of my other fish in my 90 gallon tank so I bought a 40 gallon tank just for them and their babies and I just moved the pair and most of their fry (as many of them as I could catch) over to the new tank today and now the pair are fighting. The female is staying with the babies and keeps attacking the male if he gets too close or even close to their fry. What's going on with them? Should I move my male back to the big tank?

I would move the male back to the main tank.

I had this same problem with my jewls.. except my male almost killed my female one day while I was at work.. I just moved him back to my large tank and all was fine.. good luck tho.. hope everything works out for you
