Was wondering what everyone recommends for a CUC as far as numbers. I have a 16 gallon AIO will be a reef tank with a few fish.

I don't recommend a "CUC" at all. Crabs, snails, starfish, and shrimp are completely unnecessary. I would get one or two if you like to look at them, but not the ridiculous amounts stores recommend. Most of them will starve to death.
