i just started a 30g FOWLR tank. added 25lbs LR few days ago. should i still add a raw shrimp so the cycle can be faster?

Is your LR cured or uncured? If uncured then you would not need to add shrimp where the LR will start the cycle. You can add shrimp even then. If the rock is cured then it would be a good idea to add it. Either way it can't hurt. HTH
