I just got everything in for the Biocube 14gal and now i'm ready to start cycling the tank. I'm putting live sand and live rock in this tank. What is the best way to cycle this tank. Do i just add the sand/LR and let it do its thing or do i need to add anything to help start the cycle.

Thanks for that. I have always heard that you dont need to add a shrimp to the water and that adding fish to it is just wrong. But if you dont add shrimp to start the cycle what would be the best thing to add to start the cycle?

Thanks. Yeah i'm probably going to use the pure ammonia to help get things going. I really dont want to deal with the stink of a dead shrimp and i'm not going to put fish through the ammonia spike. I've never had a problem with freshwater tanks and getting them cycled but this is my first saltwater tank and i just want to do it right.
