hi, just set up a new tank, 210 litres, has fully cycled and started to slowly add fish, it now has a large red tail shark, 2 clown loaches(10cm), a adult longfin bristlenose and a adult peppermint bristlenose.

anyway, the plastic net cup thingy(dont know wat its called) on the inlet pipe to my canister filter broke off, so i had to pit in in backward so there was like a upside down plastic net cover, meaning there was an area in there about 10cm deep that fish could hide in, and not get out. So my red tail shark got stuck in there, and his fins were caught in between the net holes, and he was very stuck. i eventually got him out, but down booth his sides scales were torn off and their were pieces of flesh were hanging down. this was 2 days ago, and since then i have been treating him with API melafix. will the scales grow back? will he be ok? is there anything else i can do to help him?

pls advise asap if anyone knows anthing i can do!

Yes, Melafix does work wonders, it will take a few weeks though.
