My new plants in my new tank are the following (see tank specs at the bottom):

Java Fern
Java Moss
Bacopa coraliniana
Anubias barteri nana
Water Wisteria
Brazilian Pennywort

I will be getting neon tetras, corys, a pleco, guppies, and a few other fish to "fully" stock my tank over the next two weeks.

I am doing a low-tech setup without CO2 dosing. My local fish store told me that I would need Flourish Tabs for the Java Ferns and Bacopas. I would also need Flourish Potassium, Phosphorus and Trace. If I used those four products, they said I should be good in the fertilizer department.

Is that good information?

Thank you

29 Gallon Rectangular Tank (18-inches high)
Finnex 24/7 Light
Gravel Substrate (finer grain than average gravel) @ 2-3.5-inches deep
Aquaclear 50 (HOB) Filter (no carbon)
pH 7.8
Hard Water (I don't know the numbers, but it is definitely hard)

I'd dose some excel to recommended on the bottle, if there's no carbon u will get algae dosing ferts without co2. The pleco might eat your pants too so I'd watch him aswell but root tabs and flourish etc is a must.

Also don't run your light at full strength if u can dull it down abit then u will get less algae and won't need to dose ferts as much
