do i have to much sand in my tank

I have a 55 gallon tank 46 inches long and 18 inches high
my sand is 2 and a half inches to one spot that is 3 inches..
looks ok to me but a friend said I may have to much sand..
Id attach a picture but its not letting me

If the deepest area is 3 inches it should be fine.

Thanks.. Yes most is 2 and a half but a are about
6 inches long is 3 inches ... Tanks is yes 55 gallons 18 inch
High 46 inch long
