Do I need more cardinal tetras???

I have a 10 gallon fish tank I have 2 guppies 2 gourami and had 4 cardinal tetras 3 of the tetras died I had my 1 tetra for around 3 weeks already he seems happy but they tell me he is a school fish and I should get more!!!! Should I get more or am I ok like that???

I'd say no. Sounds like your tank was overstocked to begin with.

i REALLY recommend that you take out those 2 gourami since they can grow larger than 4 inches and when they get that big they will eat your guppies and tetras. after that, guppies and tetras enjoy being in schools of 6 each. so 12 small fish like that should be fine in a 10 gallon tank. if you have plants i would put in a couple of shrimp cuz theyre rlly cute and fun to watch plus theyre a good cleaning crew. but make sure those gourami are out cuz they will eat the shrimp too
