How long before I put the fish in with only plants?

If I do fishless cycle with plants how long will it take?

:thanks:

The plants wont make much difference to your cycle. Plants use NitrAte for growth. Even in a massively densely planted tank where all the plants are growing to their full rate, you'll still need to do weekly water changes.
You can add plants during a cycle but carry it on as normal

Actually if you set up a tank with a ton of fast growing stem plants with good lighting(over 80% of the substrate) you can cycle a tank quiet quickly. This is often referred to as a Silent Cycle. But it all depends on the type of plants used and the amount. Plants use ammonia and nitrates and can greatly speed cycling which can be fish in or fishless. You still need to monitor ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates and do WC's as needed but I did my 220g high light tank that was about 90% planted and had it cycled in 10 days. I added my 14 angels on day 14. I did and still do 50% WC's weekly and water parameters have always been perfect.
