docile betta compared to past betta. would an upgrade from 1g to 4.6 be good for him?

Would my betta like this over the 1g bowl even if he seems docile?

Yes. This isn't even a question. Bettas do better in 3.5-6 gallons that 1 gallon. Oddly many do well in bigger even but some become stressed if not a lot of hiding places.

Absolutely, just like Ashenwelt said. You will even see a difference in his behavior too (in a good way). +1 on adding plants too. Give him something to do.

Yes, it will be planted(live plants from amazon prime). also gotta a small world filter even tho the live plants may be enough filtration I'm guessing

Always use both plants and filters unless building a walstad... and that can be complicated.
