Does a canopy of Salvinia auriculata reduce oxygen

My tank surface is covered with Salvinia auriculata and it must reduce the surface agitation from the bubbler, general surface movement and also total water surface area exposed to the air. So do the plants reduce oxygen levels in the water?
 
I don’t think I’ve ever seen this tested (apart from not recalling any issues from similar threads). I believe there are O2 etc test kits.
