So I just bough a piece of driftwood with a plant attached. The water it came in is heavy in particles, should I add that water to my tank?
There's no fish in it, and I have a 29 gallon.

Nope ... just need to place the DW and plant. In General you do not want to add any other water to your tank other than treated PWC water.
