Driftwood

I found two beautiful large pieces of driftwood at a antiques/thrift store and want to use them in my tank. From what I have read, all I need to do is scrub them really good and soak them for a couple weeks until the water is clear, is this correct?

They are too large to boil. They are completely dry.

You're spot on. Scrub and soak them. You never know, they might not have that many tannins to release. If there are tannins it will not harm your tank, they actually act as a buffer.
