Aquarium Advice Activist
i have 2 or 3 fish that have dropsy at the mo (1 platy and 2 guppies).
I suspect they are beyond treatment as they are looking pretty awful (altho i have been adding a treatment), it is quite likely they will die.
so, my question is: i have had a tank with dropsy before, and they all got it and died. but i don't have a quarantine tank. should i take the worst ones out and kill them to save the rest? or should i let them die naturally in the tank and then remove them?
I know it sounds harsh, but as I said, the disease is quite far along now, and I am pretty sure they are going to die soon.
Any suggestions welcomed.
