I have a dwarf African clawed frog and their is a large white almost fuzzy spot on his back. It was not their yesterday, but this morning it is covering about half of his back. I am wondering do these frogs shed their skin or is this some kind of disease? I have never seen it before.

i've had 2 african dwarf frogs for about 3 years now. yes they do shed their skin and this is a sign of good health. it can take a bit of time for them to shed the skin and sometimes it will hang off of them for a little while so don't worry if you see them going around with skin flowing behind them. on the frogs back, what you are probably seeing is the skin lifting and water getting underneath. don't worry. your froggy will be fine. after the shed, i usually remove the skin from the aquarium. the skin will show the form of the frog. it's pretty cool. good luck
