Dwarf Green Acorus - aquatic?

Is the Dwarf Green Acorus (Acorus pussilus) aka Japanese variegated dwarf rush aka Japanese Fan aka Dwarf Green Sweetflag a true aquatic plant?

AFAIK no acorus species are true aquatics. they are bog plants and if fully submerged will die and rot, fouling up your tank.

It is sold as an aquarium plant too, which is really annoying.

I planted 4 - two "melted" and two seem ok. I'll try growing them emersed in the "Aquavase"...
