Ebjd bloat or dropsy?

I have an ebjd, about 1 1/2-1 3/4 inches. His belly is swollen so I figured he had bloat. However, when I pulled him from the main tank and put him in quarantine tank for a salt bath, I noticed a few of his scales were protruding. What is the most effective way to treat him? I was told by lfs today to get broad spectrum antibiotics.

try feeding him some blanched peas, deshell them and crush them up a bit.

I started feeding peas last night, he ate a piece if one and was munching on one this morning as well. Eating is a good sign I know, think I should treat with the broad spectrum antibiotics? Continue the salt baths?

Has he pooped yet? Some else will chime in and give you advise on the antibiotics. I haven't had to use them, not sure if they would help with this....

Sadly, he died Tuesday. I was doing salt baths, no antibiotics as I wasn't sure about using them. Thanks for the responses.
