Favite? Favia?

Hi guys, just picked up this today from LFS. Its purple with green center. I know its not a war coral because i have a war coral thats red and green. Or could war coral also be purple abd green?

That is a favia. The way to tell between favia and Favites is the division between the individual polyps. In both they have the mouth part (in this case the green portion) and that's surrounded by a wall (the purple part) the difference lies in the wall (purple part) on a favia each mouth has its own wall divided from the neighboring polyp. In a Favites the purple part is shared between the polyps and not divided.
