Would it be possible for my sand sifting sea star to keep knocking over my feather duster? Every morning I wake up and see it on its side. What's the best way to position him in my reef?

They can move with the flow of the water. The best way is to nudge the tube next to and slightly under a rock without pinching the tube

@ Schism, thanks. Haha, I think I just saw the culprit. I think it's one of my hermit crabs that's knocking it over.

Position it next to a rock where you like it will attach

Just leave it laying on the sand next to a rock you'd like him next to, like others said he will burrow under the sand, make a new tube and attach to the underside of a rock, this may take a few weeks to a month.

Thanks Sara, haha. I woke up again this morning and again...fallen over.
