hi, i was talking to an unlce he said at winter he feeds his goldfish every 2 weeks, but i usually put a bit in every say day and a half. does 2 weeks seem a long time with no feed? u see at book here it says feed daily as fish are active and require good feed to stay healthy and live long time. cheers.

I know that in the uk that heat costs alot, so houses are usually colder than usual. Having goldfish with cold water will slow them down, but every 2 weeks seems abit much. Maybe every 2 days sounds realistic.

Well, I think if the temp is low enough, then two weeks is reasonable. For instance, the people that overwinter goldfish in ponds probably feed them very little if at all. The colder it gets, the slower their metabolism.
