Feeding Question

In my tank, I have a pleco and a apple snail, online it says that hey can both eat algae wafers that sink. So daily, i have been dropping one in the tank. the problem is is that the pleco eats the algae wafer and it keeps eating and the snail gets none. What should i do about this?

What about trying fresh veggies? Cucumber or courgette? You could place one at each end of the tank and hopefully they'll both get to eat
